The Dutch Reformed Church, in Fairview, Fulton County, Illinois
The Dutch Reformed Church, in Fairview, Fulton County, Illinois, is the oldest Dutch Reform Church west of the Allegheny Mountains. The church was built in 1838 and still stands as a center of worship for people in the Fairview Community. It was founded by the Rev. (Dommie) Abraham Wilson, after whom William Brown Hageman and Althea Quick Stryker named their second son, Abraham Wilson Hageman. The Hagemans, along with many other New Jersey-born Dutch-Americans, were long-time members of the church.
We possess copies of some pages of church records and church history which we are studying for the genealogical light they shed on Fulton Co. family research.
